A Drought of Wealth and Life

Hosea 13:5 I did know thee in the wilderness, in the land of great drought.

We are in the last day of life. In this day the Lord is with us. He has not forsaken. He is with us in life and with us in drought. When I write of wealth I speak of things not seen. When I speak of life I speak of things not heard.

Now some would say that life is heard and it is seen. And if you are one who is to come then listen. For God is going to deliver and set free. And He is going to free and deliver men. And if you are one who wishes to be set free then give. For giving is of the Lord. And if you give then give without hurt. Give without worry. Give with heart but do not give life.

That is the best way to put it. I do not wish for those who are poor to give. They have little. So if you are poor keep your money. I do not wish it. Only those who can afford should give. For the Lord will bless those who give. He will grant them life. He will give them hope. He will not pay for life but he will grant people the ability to live.

Now let me say I am not paying the price for this. God is. God is the one who helped me and God is the one who helps. He doesn’t help just me. He helps all those who seek. And if you are one who seeks then remember that if God gives it is with love. God gives to those who have life and he gives to those who want it. And if you knew that I had overcome then you might want to give. So give with joy and give with hope. Give with desire and give with belief.

For I cannot pay you for life. I cannot pay you if you are poor. You are a man or a woman who has to give without fullness of understanding. Yet if your heart is receptive then give. For God isn’t going to let you down. He is going to bless you and give to you and paint your life with color. And that means you.

So give. Give because there is nothing else you’d rather do. Give because there is little to do but give. Give until it feels good. Don’t give until it hurts. For I am a man who has fought and I have overcome. And I can ask because at this time I have nothing. So if I give what little I have it is based on life. And if I give it freely, which I do, then giving back costs you nothing. So in a way you and I do little to help but we do much to aid.

And if that seems strange think of this. For everyone who gives then give with life. For those who give with life give with hope. And if I said don’t give your life I mean of hope. For hope isn’t meant to be that I am God. I am a man. I don’t have money. I have faith. I have wealth in the heavenly realm. I have money which is yet to come. Yet these pages are meant to encourage and to help.

And that means to give is to live. So please give.

When I walk the last mile of the way

 Across the sea there is a man who lives with life. He is carried upon the wind and he is carried upon the sea. He is a man who has fought and a man who has fought to the finish. That man is me. I didn’t plan to overcome. I planned to have fun. I had hopes of overcoming but I didn’t have plan. In a way that is the way of life. We are all like that. We all want to live. And in living we want to overcome.

 If we overcome we overcome with those who help us. For they are people who join us and they are those who help to carry. For those who live are those who fight. And those who fight, like Rocky, are there against impossible odds. It seems the Russian is so big he is like a mountain. And he is hit but no matter how hard you hit you cannot beat him. And yet in an ironic twist there is rock. And rock is the key to fighting. What battle can be won if we fight with flesh? For the arm of flesh is weak. And that battle is one of spirit and one of authority. And so we must go in representing the king. For God is King and He is waiting for us to fight.

Now we don’t always fight with arm and with might. But the battle we fight is one where we had to overcome. It is one where the enemy was like that Russia. He was strong and invincible. And when he hit you felt it to the core of your soul. And he fought with might and with power and was a principality in high and low places. I do not speak of evil, though he had that in his nature, I speak of Sin. Sin is the spirit which sprang up as a result of things. God didn’t create sin nor does he want it. He created us and we were not evil. We were men. We were women and we were those who had to fight. Yet we didn’t want to. We wanted to accept life. We wanted the fight to go to us by default. And if there was a victor it was Jesus. And he came to fight as a man but He came to fight as God. For God had to intervene because there was no one on all of earth able to bear it. And that was the truth. It was the purpose of this story to help you know that I walked where Jesus walked. And I fought where Jesus fought. I overcame because he had been there already. And I was able to be a victor because there was an Apollo that had landed a first punch. And that was right to the head and the head had suffered and the head had died.

And so if you know Sylvester Stallone then you know the Rocky I speak of. If you watch his movies they can be gut wrenching and hard to take. They are often violent yet scripture adjures us to take heaven by violent ways. And that means we have to fight. We can’t sit back and let others do it. If we do then we cannot find the way to heaven and to the heart of the Lord. For God will say that Jesus fought the fight and I fought as well. And I don’t see myself as greater but lesser. And being lesser means that I had to fight against a force that you will never imagine. It is as if I had to prepare for the fight and then fight. And when I was in the battle it didn’t last ten rounds. It lasted for years. And it still goes on.

Yet the fight of faith is one that is filled with life. It is one where you can and do overcome. It is one that you can win. But it is not the battle of life but the battle of life with those who would destroy and kill and mark you. For they don’t care about you. They only care about destroying what you are. And if you think this is a joke remember that Jesus didn’t say “I did everything” but that he came to give us life and more abundantly. Paul spoke of the armor of the Lord and if we have armor you had better learn how to use it.

And so these pages are meant to encourage you. They are meant to guide you. They are meant to lift you up and help you. They are not meant to be taken lightly. But they are meant to help you see that you too can overcome. And overcoming won’t be the same battle but it will be the same war. So remember that Jesus has the way for you to win and you have the means to fight. Prepare yourself by prayer and by heeding the advice of one who has been there. Give yourself the life you deserve. Give it with life. Give it with hope. Give of the best you have. And when this life is over you will be surprised how wonderful things are. For the life we have is not worthy to be seen as a true comparison to what God is going to be revealing. It is His desire that we give. It is His desire that we fight. And so I fight in a way that I can enjoy life. And I fight in a way that will help.

So remember that God has set a course and it is aimed toward earth. And earth is now in the hand of the Lord God Almighty. And that isn’t a bad thought but one that comes directly from the Lord.
